Course Overview

Firm Foundations is a carefully designed Islamic studies programme aimed at teenagers who are developing their identity, beliefs, and understanding of the world around them. Course Description

Firm Foundations is an Islamic studies programme developed to address the needs of teenagers growing up in a complex and fast-changing world. The course focuses on building a strong and balanced understanding of Islam, helping students develop certainty in belief and confidence in practice.

The curriculum introduces students to the core foundations of Islam, including beliefs, worship, ethics, and personal responsibility. Alongside traditional learning, the course provides space to explore real-life questions and challenges faced by young Muslims, encouraging thoughtful reflection and informed understanding.

Firm Foundations places strong emphasis on character development, critical thinking, and applying Islamic principles in everyday life. Through guided discussion and structured learning, students are supported in developing a mature, grounded Islamic identity rooted in the Qur’an and Sunnah.

The programme aims to nurture confident young Muslims who are able to uphold their faith with clarity, integrity, and strength, laying firm foundations for lifelong learning and spiritual growth.
