Iqra: Tajweed & Qur’anic Recitation Programme is a structured course designed to help participants improve their recitation of the Qur’an with precision, clarity, and confidence. Rooted in traditional Islamic scholarship, the programme supports students in fulfilling the obligation of correct recitation while strengthening their spiritual connection to the Book of Allah.
This programme is suitable for males of all levels, whether beginning their Tajweed journey or seeking to correct and refine their existing recitation in a structured and supportive environment.
Students will learn the rules of Tajweed, including correct pronunciation, articulation points (makhārij), and the characteristics of letters (ṣifāt), alongside guided practical recitation.
Learning takes place through a balance of Tajweed theory and hands-on recitation. Students receive correction and feedback in a small group setting, allowing for steady progress and confidence building.
The programme combines technical accuracy with spiritual development, helping students not only recite correctly, but also deepen their respect, connection, and relationship with the Qur’an.

Course Description

Iqra: Tajweed & Qur’anic Recitation Programme is a carefully designed course aimed at helping participants master the correct recitation of the Qur’an. Recognising that proper recitation is both an obligation and an act of worship, the programme focuses on developing accuracy, confidence, and consistency in reading the Book of Allah.

Students are guided through the principles of Tajweed, including the rules of pronunciation, articulation points (makhārij), and the characteristics of letters (ṣifāt). These principles are applied through regular, practical recitation with individual correction and feedback, ensuring steady improvement in a supportive learning environment.

The programme also offers guidance in Qur’anic memorisation (ḥifẓ), with an emphasis on precision and maintaining correct recitation. Alongside technical development, students are encouraged to strengthen their spiritual connection to the Qur’an, approaching recitation with humility, reflection, and awareness of its sanctity.

Iqra aims to nurture confident reciters who carry the Qur’an with care, correctness, and reverence, both in prayer and in daily life.
