Course Overview

Ramadan Essentials is a structured and interactive intensive designed specifically for young people aged 13–17. The programme prepares students to approach Ramadan with knowledge, confidence, and purpose, going beyond the basics of fasting to explore the spiritual, practical, and character-building aspects of the month. Through guided workshops, discussions, and real-life examples, students gain a deeper understanding of Ramadan as a time for worship, self-discipline, and personal growth, rooted in the teachings of Islam and the life of the Prophet ﷺ.
Students will learn the fiqh of fasting, including intention, what breaks the fast, and common real-life scenarios. They will also explore the importance of Qur’an, duʿā’, Laylat al-Qadr, character development, and key Ramadan lessons from the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ.
Teenagers are at an age of accountability and identity formation. This course helps them understand why Ramadan matters, how to practise it correctly, and how to apply its lessons to school life, friendships, online behaviour, and personal discipline.
Sessions are delivered through interactive workshops, combining short talks, discussion, reflection, and practical examples. Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate, and reflect in a supportive and age-appropriate environment.
This course balances fiqh, spirituality, character, and Seerah, ensuring students don’t just learn rules but understand the wisdom and purpose behind Ramadan. It is specifically designed for teenagers, addressing real challenges they face today.

Course Description

Ramadan Essentials – Teen Intensive is a carefully designed programme aimed at helping young Muslims prepare for Ramadan in a meaningful and practical way.

The course covers essential rulings of fasting, alongside the spiritual heart of Ramadan through Qur’an, duʿā’, and reflection. Students also explore character development, self-control, and online conduct, learning how fasting shapes behaviour and discipline.

A dedicated Seerah workshop allows students to learn how the Prophet ﷺ and the Companions lived Ramadan, drawing lessons that are relevant to modern teenage life. The programme encourages students to grow in confidence, faith, and responsibility, helping them carry the spirit of Ramadan beyond the month itself.
